Deep Sea Divers Den: 5 day (3d/2n Liveaboard) PADI Open Water Course (OW5D2NE)

The 5 Day Liveaboard option is by far the most popular learn to dive option. Not only are you certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, but you also get FIVE additional 'Fun Dives', including a guided night dive at no extra charge!!!  

Prerequisites: Pass a medical and swim test.

What's included:

- Cairns city transfers
- All quality diving and snorkelling equipment, including wetsuits and dive computer
- 2 Cell torch hire for night dive
- All meals whilst at sea
- PADI Student pack (includes manual and dive tables)
- 2 days pool and theory
- All training dives on the Outer Great Barrier Reef
- Air fills

What's not included: Reef and Port Authority charge (includes $3.50 EMC, $16.50 fuel levy, Port & Administration Charges, GST) per day at sea, medical, passport photos.

What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, swimsuit and towel. Money for lunch days 1 & 2. Money for soft drinks, alcohol and snacks etc. days 3,4 & 5

Deep Sea Divers Den has been conducting PADI courses for over 30 years, and has established it'self as Cairns premier dive school. They have Cairns only fully covered purpose built dive pool that is heated to 32 degrees all year round as well as 6 modern airconditioned classroms with state of the art teaching facilities.

The 5 day course not only offers great value for money, but you also get to do a night dive as well as some fun dives after your course.

Deep Sea Divers Den have 17 permanent moorings on the Great Barrier Reef. Some of these include Norman, Saxon, and Hastings providing excellent diving and snorkelling for all experience levels. Besides the colourful array of marine and reef life, Wally a 1.5 m diver/ snorkeller friendly Maori Wrasse is always fun to photograph at Norman Reef.

 

DAY ONE
9.00am pick-up from your city accommodation
Classroom theory.
Dive medical to AS 4005.1 (if required)
Lunch (not included)
Dive equipment selection Pool training
5.00pm return. (approximately)

DAY TWO
9.00am pickup from your city accommodation
Pool training
Lunch (not included)
Classroom theory.
5.00pm return. (Approximately)

* Please note on days one and two - meals, accommodation and Medical are not included. You will also at some point in the first 2 days be required to swim 200m and tread water for 10 minutes.

DAY THREE
8.00am pickup from your city accommodation.
Transfer out to the reef aboard our day trip boat and do your first 2 training dives.
Lunch (included)
At 14:30 transfer to our Liveaboard boat where you will spend the night.
Lunch, dinner and accommodation included

DAY FOUR
Breakfast, 2 more training dives
Lunch (included)
Certification as Open Water diver
Afternoon pleasure dive
Guided night dive.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and accommodation included.

DAY FIVE
Breakfast, 3 more pleasure dives
Last dive completed by 2.00pm.
Breakfast and lunch included.
5.00pm return to your accommodation.
